Oral McGuire is a prominent leader within the Noongar community He is nationally recognised for his experience in traditional land and fire management practices, with 20 years’ experience operating his multi-sectorial consulting business, Gundi Consulting, as well as being a director of the Noongar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), the Noongar Land Enterprise (NLE) Group and Chair of Yaraguia Enterprises.
He has worked across government, private enterprise, and the not-for-profit sectors, bridging the divide between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. He has led the Noongar regenerative farming movement as Chairperson of the Noongar Land Enterprise Group with his 832-ha property that is a showcase of integrating restoration into production landscapes. Oral is also a Director (Deputy Chair) on the Wheatbelt Development Commission and a Board Member of the Development Trust.
Oral is co-lead the Restoration Science Research Theme of the ARC Training Centre for Healing Country with Professor Kingsley Dixon.
