Bridgette is the Aboriginal Liaison Officer at the ARC Training Centre for Healing Country (Healing Country). She is a Ballardong/Whadjuk woman who grew up in Boorloo, with strong connections back to her Ballardong country, where she spends a lot of her time with her extended family.
Growing up, the McGuire family have been transforming their 2,100-acre property back to it’s natural state, and have planted over half a million trees, creating a Nyoongar cultural sanctuary. Bridgette is very passionate about Nyoongar led restoration, and believes that healing country, heals mob. She believes working in and creating a culturally safe and inclusive workspace and empowering First Nations people to excel at their full potential is vital. Bridgette’s son is her biggest motivation, raising him to be strong in his culture and connection to boodja (country), as he is the future.
