Andrea Bravo-Escobar

Post Doc Fellow - Carbon

Andrea is a Post Doc in the Restoration group of Healing Country. She obtained his PhD at The University of Western Australia with a thesis titled “Impacts of wildfire on soil organic matter of forests of southwest Australia”. In her PhD thesis, she explored how fire affects carbon cycling, soil nutrient dynamics, and water quality.

Andrea’s research interests are in soil carbon dynamics, restoration ecology and fire ecology. As part of Healing Country, her aims are to explore the impacts of ecological restoration on terrestrial carbon storage, with a particular focus on investigating how the biodiversity of plants contributes to enhance soil carbon storage.
